Dancing with Props

Belly dancers may dance with a variety of ‘props'. These can include the traditional finger cymbals (zills), popular veils, canes, hand-held candles, swords or even snakes. The ‘props' are used to add variation into dances, to show the dancers' control of movement and to add visual appeal for the audience. Arabian Nights Belly Dancing regularly includes veils, candles and full size swords into their performances. Recent additions include dancers performing with large daggers in each hand, spectacular 8-9 foot-spanned ‘Wings of Isis ' and vibrant vois.

We had great fun choreographing a dance with colf clubs for the 2007 Rydgaes ProAm Golf Tournamant Dinner.
